Infinite Duality

Directors: Barrington and Inesa De La Roche

We are always moving forwards and backwards beyond the range of the imagination. The uncertainty predicts the truth and the lie unveils the certainty of our existence and therefore we are chanting a morality that contradicts humanity.

DARK THEATRE - Inesa and Barrington De La Roche are showing and talking about their degenerate artwork (video) as part of the Brighton Art Festival.

The Nazis invented the term Entartete Kunst - Degenerate Art - and confisc...ated any new art that could apply to it. They then toured over 650 works from some of the most influential artists of the 20th century in the bizarre hope of showing its moral and aesthetic shortcomings.

The Degenerate Art Gong Show (the third in a series of ART GONG SHOWS) aims to draw the line in the sand between modern concepts of decency in art on the one side and the degenerates on the other. Who are the new Nazis? The Arts Council? The Curators? The Daily Mail?

Six artists will be showing their work to a panel of experts and a voting audience who can ask questions. At The Latest Music/Bar, Brighton on May 23rd. The artists will speak about their work and be asked questions.

The Winner gets a cash prize and the artist with the fewest votes will be banned from showing such work for one year.
